The association: Keeping ancient techniques alive
Over the years, we have gathered the experience and testimonies of old Renaioli to continue preserving the historic boats, respecting ancient techniques and traditions.
The maintenance of these boats is a fundamental activity for our Association and requires specialized skills, ranging from the work of the shipwright to that of the caulker. Every year, during the winter season, maintenance and inspection work is carried out by a shipyard to ensure the boats remain in optimal condition, guaranteeing safe navigation.
Thanks to the teachings of the old Renaioli, we not only keep the boats alive but also preserve the entire river culture, interwoven with their traditions and the crafts of the past.
