F.A.Q (ll the questionsyou want to ASK)

  • If the sun is shining one hour before departure: the tour will proceed as planned.
For example, if you booked a tour at 6:00 PM and it rained all morning, there is no problem. If the weather improves by 5:00 PM, the 6:00 PM tour will depart without any issues.

    • If it starts raining within one hour of departure: the tour will be rescheduled.
For example, if you booked a tour at 6:00 PM and, after a sunny day, it starts raining after 5:00 PM, unfortunately, we will need to reschedule the appointment.

In case the excursion is canceled, you will receive an automatic message from our system. It is possible to reschedule your tour 72h before the date by clicking the modify/cancel button in your confirmation email message.

This situation is extremely rare, as our Renaioli, with their extensive experience, always carefully assess weather conditions before departure to ensure safe navigation. If the weather does not appear favorable, we promptly suggest rescheduling the excursion.

However, if a sudden downpour occurs during the tour, the Renaiolo will take all necessary safety measures: they will guide the boat to a sheltered area, such as under a bridge, drop anchor, and wait for the rain to stop. Once optimal conditions are restored, the tour will calmly return to shore.

Many guests have shared that, in these rare circumstances, listening to the gentle patter of rain on the river, sheltered under the Ponte Vecchio, is a magical and unforgettable experience that adds a special touch to the excursion!

To enrich your experience, we recommend a pre-arranged aperitif/snack on board, organized in advance by the client.

For the aperitif on the boat, you can rely on your trusted suppliers and bring what you need for an aperitif/snack or arrange for it to be delivered to the boat by coordinating with delivery services.

If you wish to have the aperitif basket ready on the boat, we need to know if the aperitif has been booked and with which service so we can inform the Renaioli to wait for the delivery of a basket for your boat.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take responsibility for aperitif baskets that are not reported as missing at departure.

Notes: Renaioli Firenze Srl/Associazione Culturale I Renaioli does not, under any circumstances, handle catering services and disclaims any responsibility regarding the quality of food and beverages provided by third parties.

Rain is not the only weather factor that might lead us to suspend navigation. In rare cases, strong winds can make it unsafe to proceed, or the water level may change suddenly due to maintenance work on the riverbed or a sudden flood.

Even in these circumstances, safety remains our absolute priority. We will contact you immediately to inform you of the situation and work with you to find a new date and time that suits your preferences.

Is there a recommended dress code?
No specific attire is required: guests often board the boat dressed elegantly for conferences or weddings, so feel free to choose the dress code you prefer!

For added comfort, we recommend:
• Flat shoes, which are helpful for easily getting on and off the boat.
• A hat, if you’ve booked a tour on a sunny day.

If you forget your hat, don’t worry: on board, you’ll find our parasol umbrellas. However, evenings on the river can be cool, so bring a windbreaker jacket to stay more comfortable!

Can I bring my dog?
If you have booked a private tour, small dogs are welcome!
For large dogs or tours with guided groups, the limited space between seats might not ensure a comfortable navigation experience for everyone.

All dogs must be kept on a leash for safety reasons. Large dogs are required to wear a muzzle.

Sitting in our boat is similar to being comfortably seated in an armchair, with the breathtaking view of the city unfolding before you!

Thanks to the flat bottom, our boats glide smoothly on the water without rocking, making them ideal even for those who suffer from seasickness.
